Some Gear

Here’s a rundown of some of the gear that I use for recording The Raygun Girls.

For a few years, I have been using my Fender Stratocaster plugged straight into my computer and using Garageband to record and mix.  This was my first electric guitar; I’ve had it for about 30 years!  I don’t use a high E string.

For vocals, for recording Rising Dawn, I’ve been using an AT2020 USB microphone.  I absolutely love the sound I get from this microphone.  Great investment.

Right now, I’m trying something new, for me – I’ve plugged my Carvin amp back in, and I’m mic’ing it.  To use the amp, I plug in through a Digitech peddle.  I love the sound I get from Digitech peddles.

The bass I use is a Fender Jazz bass.  I usually also plug this straight into the computer, but now I’m also trying this through my amp.  I have a small Squier bass amp that I’m mic’ing.

We’ll see what happens!
