New lead vocalist joins The Raygun Girls
For Immediate Release
New York, NY (December, 2006) – The Raygun Girls announces the addition of Cila as their newest lead vocalist.
The Raygun Girls is a NY Hard Rock band that has been compared to Lacuna Coil, Stabbing Westward, Killing Joke and Lords of Acid.
After releasing the full length album, “The Ones I Denied”, in February of 2006, The Raygun Girls spent the year promoting the album by doing shows all over the East Coast, including the Rock Solid Pressure A&R Showcase in Florida.
In November, The Raygun Girls parted ways with their lead vocalist.
Auditions were immediately set up and ads were placed everywhere in search of a new singer. The response was incredible! The Raygun Girls received interest from all kinds of vocalists, but only one had the complete package.
Cila brings an extensive background in performance to the band. She is at home on the stage, projecting an aura of confidence, skill and comfort. Cila also plays violin, and was previously in bands such as Diatribe and Tragic Sense. Her excellently crafted lyrics are brought to life by her soothing, yet powerful, voice.
The Raygun Girls look forward to an explosive 2007, with a new front woman and new songs.
